Do you make time to just be FREE TO BE ? ☀️

You may not know this about me, but I am a hobby artist.

I've always enjoyed doing creative projects and over the last few years I have picked up my creative practice again with a greater commitment and more heart than I have in years.

And, it feels so good 😊

It brings me immense joy and inner peace to sit in front of a blank piece of paper and let my intuition guide me in creating something beautiful that also feels reflective of a feeling or inner experience I am having.

It is equally therapeutic and satisfying.

Last week I completed a series called “FREE TO BE” and I wanted to share it with you because, I believe, that in order to be whole and content with yourself, you need time and space where you are simply free to be YOU.

Here is a glimpse into what FREE TO BE feels like to me:

And here are thoughts that came to me while painting this series:

FREE TO BE

To simply be, to have extensive space around yourself full of energy –or perhaps void of any energy at all– and receptive only to yours.

A space where you can unfold like the magnificent being you are. No voices. No opinions. No thoughts or ideas. No expectations to shape, direct, or influence you.

A space so soft and kind and welcoming that even the shiest, most hurt and most scared pieces of you emerge swaying their hips in the gentle evening breeze.

And you watch yourself come together as each piece of you hugs and pulls close the other pieces… until, you are finally, whole-y you. Magnificent. Content. At peace. Free to be.

So, let me ask you:

  • What does FREE TO BE mean to you?

  • Do make time and space where you are simply FREE TO BE?

  • Are there people in your life with whom you are just FREE TO BE you?

  • If you painted a reflection of being FREE TO BE, what would it look like for you?

With love as always,

Caroline
