Self Quest: Which part of you is underutilized?

This week, I am deep in my preparations for Soul Camp, a beautiful, in-person retreat that starts on Sunday.

One of my workshops is centered around the idea that we often only “live out” certain parts of ourselves –while others remain hidden, veiled, or underutilized.

The truth is that we are made up of many parts, which IMO makes life (& our relationships) so beautiful, exciting, and interesting

There's the part of you that gets things done, the part that nurtures others, the part that keeps it all together when things feel chaotic. There's the dreamer, the organizer, the worrier, the brave one, the playful one, the part of you that knows how to rest, the one that longs to learn something new and on and on…

But here's the thing:
Not all of these parts get equal airtime.

Some parts of us run the show — loudly, constantly. Others sit quietly in the back, waiting for an invitation that may or may not come.

Between our societal/ cultural expectations, family patterns, and sometimes narrow views on what successful and happy looks like… certain parts of us remain unappreciated, denied, or hidden.

What we don't realize is that true wholeness means making enough space for our full authentic self –for all parts of YOU– to come to the surface and get a little sunshine (& maybe even showtime;)).

So I want to ask you gently today:

Which part of you has become a bit dusty from disuse?
Which part is whispering, “Hey… remember me?”

→ Maybe it's your creativity.
→ Maybe it's your sensuality, your sense of humor, your leadership, your ideas or your boldness.
→ Maybe it's the part of you that's deeply intuitive — the one who knows how to slow down and feel instead of push through.

Sometimes these parts got quiet because life got loud.

What I often see in my coaching practice is that somewhere along the way, certain pieces of us didn't fit the role we thought we had to play — and so we set them aside, bury them out of sight.

But here's the beautiful truth:
All of you is still there

Today, I invite you to turn toward the part of yourself that's been waiting.

Offer it some space, some breath, some curiosity.

You might be surprised by what's been longing to return… it might just be the piece that will make you feel whole.

You can take this week's Self Quest question and simply reflect on it on your own, you can use it as a journal prompt (very powerful ), or you can go on a walk with friends and discuss it in a group (builds connection ).

With love as always,

Caroline
