Self Quest: What season of life are you in?
Yesterday, my youngest, Zoe, graduated from preschool.
As she walked down the aisle—her little body brimming with joy, eyes sparkling with pride—it hit me: We're entering a new season of life.
Come fall, all three of my children will be in elementary school. No more toddlers. No more early preschool pick-ups.
Just like that, a chapter is closing, and I'm finding myself on the cusp of change—my routines shifting, the rhythm of my days transforming, and even my role as a mother evolving to meet the needs of school-aged children rather than little ones.
Whenever a personal season shifts, it invites reinvention.
Think about how we move from summer into fall: we layer up, we change our habits, our energy, even our social pace.
The same happens in life: When something changes on the outside, it creates an intuitive opening to make intentional changes on the inside.
And here's something important I've learned:
→ Sometimes life delivers us into a new season—ready or not.
→ Sometimes we feel the nudge and choose to step into it ourselves.
→ And sometimes, we find ourselves suspended in between—the old season has ended, but the new one hasn't fully begun.
So let me ask you:
What season of life are you in?
How would you describe it?
How long have you been there?
Are you craving something new, or are you content where you are?
Wherever you are in your journey, may this be a gentle invitation to pause, reflect, and perhaps, realign.
You can take this week's question and simply reflect on it on your own, you can use it as a journal prompt (very powerful ), or you can go on a walk with friends and discuss it in a group (builds connection ).
With love as always,
Caroline
