Are you tired of being under construction?
I’ve been thinking a lot about the concept of “enoughness.”
Lately it has become so crystal clear to me that people –and women in particular– are chronically driven by the idea that somehow they are not enough, don’t do enough, aren’t successful enough, aren’t thin enough, beautiful enough, valuable enough…
The struggle for more, better, and thinner in order to then (hopefully) be happy, is real.
But what if we finally said “ENOUGH!”?
What if instead of thinking about what else we should want, we actually paused and looked at what we already have?
What if we refused to keep ourselves and our life a permanent construction zone and decided that who we are, what we have, what we do is already enough?
Here’s the truth:
There is nothing wrong with growing and evolving, having dreams and reaching for them, BUT there is a massive difference depending on where our motivation comes from.
If our motivation comes from us scolding ourselves for not being enough the way we are and needing to change in order to be worthy, beautiful, and successful, we are living our lives in our own shadow and blocking real joy every single day because “we’re not where we want to be yet.”
On the other hand, if our motivation comes from feeling good already and having wonderful ideas about where we want to go next, our life feels completely different: lighter, accepting, more joyful, fruitful. We’re not playing catch up. We are not trying to hide our faults or act from a place of insufficiency.
So, let me ask you:
What are you tired of having under construction?
What is already enough in your life?
What would you like to begin to accept about yourself and your life instead of constantly thinking it should be different?
Trust me when I tell you that you will gain enormous amounts of energy if you stop fighting yourself, if you stop waiting for enoughness, and just decide that who you are today is already enough and it can only get better from here on.
If you'd like some support with seeing, feeling AND believing in your own enoughness, I'd love to connect. I am accepting a small number of new clients in June. If you'd like to be one of them, let's schedule a free 20 minute consultation to see if we are a fit. All you have to do is complete this short form and tell me a bit about yourself.
Love,
Caroline
