Motherhood Spotlight with Jeannine Yoder: Entrepreneurship and motherhood

One of the biggest puzzle pieces I work on with my private mama clients (besides their health and their relationship) is what they want to do with their professional lives after having had a baby.

Do you want to be a stay-at-home mom (assuming that works financially)? Do you want to go back to work fully or part-time? Or do you want to start something on your own that allows you to work from home on a flexible schedule?

The latter is often the dream many moms have: spend your time away from your kids doing something you love that gives you meaning AND being able to be there for your child's big events, taking off an afternoon to chase your littles across the playground just because its sunny and you’ve been missing them, or gifting yourself a morning walk because you simply feel the need to take care of yourself.

Needless to say, I LOVE talking about entrepreneurship with moms, because clearly that is the path I have chosen for myself and I am so happy I did; both because supporting women and moms lights me up AND because it allows me to live a lifestyle with my family that I adore.

Now, full disclosure, entrepreneurship isn't all rainbows and unicorns. It is scary and intense and stressful at times. There have been many moments when I doubted that I could do it and wanted to throw in the towel.

I went through dozens of lessons (many of them by failing first), but the most important one is that I had to learn about how to lead from my feminine side first.

What do I mean by that?

Well, there is no better person to tell you about feminine leadership and what that means for you if you are an entrepreneur and a mom than my good friend Jeannine Yoder.

(*BTW, Jeannine points out that motherhood itself IS entrepreneurship, which I couldn't agree with more).

In today’s Motherhood Spotlight Jeannine shares 3 key secrets with you about how to grow a successful business AND be a great mom! I know you will LOVE this video; whether you are an entrepreneur of business or motherhood or both!

How I know Jeannine:

Jey and I met a few years back when about 20 NYC women entrepreneurs decided to rent a house in Vermont during a snowy winter and come together in sisterhood. I met some of the most incredible women there who I admire and celebrate to this day.

Jeannine is one of these "golden encounters" that have impacted my life in many more ways than she herself probably even knows.

I admire Jeannine for running a hugely successful life coach training program called Mentor Masterclass including a whole team, being a total loving goofball with her sweet daughter Violet, and a woman who shows up as her authentic goddess self without the sugar coating and perfecting while living up to everything she teaches professionally and personally. She's one of a kind and I am super honored to call her my friend.
