Today, I decided to record a little video for you from my morning hike in the Swiss Alps (I'm still a bit sleepy in it lol, but I was thinking about a very important topic which I wanted to share with you + my view was just so spectacular;))
One of the biggest questions for the women I have met in the last years -whether through my coaching work or through my private friendships- is:
How can I stay calm and grounded, especially in times of transition, stress, and uncertainty?
(Think, times of heartbreak, career stress, self doubts, anxiety, hormonal imbalance and infertility, death of a loved one... the list goes on.)
For me personally, 2016 has been filled with transitions as my family and I are searching for a new place to call home.
While we've had a lot of adventure (which I love!), this year has also had its fair share of moments that have felt deeply ungrounding to me. I realized once again that having a place to call home, a place that symbolizes safety, a place to withdraw from the busy world, is what allows me to re-charge my batteries and ultimately, go out into the world feeling courageous, ready, and excited.
Returning to a place of feeling calm and grounded while the transition is still happening (!) has been one of my personal key focuses this year.
In today's video, I am sharing 3 key steps with you that have been life-savers for me:
When you are calm and grounded, you can make better decisions and trust yourself more because you can hear your intuition. Your digestion improves, your hormones can balance, your mind is sharper, you are more resilient, and you are able to give and receive love effortlessly. You listen better and respond wiser, and you become a more patient partner, friend, and parent. Your life becomes easier because you anxiety isn't running your life.
Another, very important part of living in a calm and grounded mind and body, is that you capacity to heal improves dramatically.
While diet, exercise and supplements may produce remarkable results, if the vital role of the mind, emotions and soul are not taken into account, lasting health is difficult to achieve.
Body, mind and soul cannot be separated; they work together.
